Battery Recycling

Battery recycling is important, to the environment and to us, we all know that. It’s something we are constantly thinking about in our industry, especially because our products are considered dangerous goods. So, we have to make sure we do everything we can to dispose of our batteries safely and properly, and leave this land better than we found it.

WHERE CAN I RECYCLE MY BATTERIES?
Simply return your battery (regardless of brand or type) to any of our 20 branches or network of our thousands of dealers across Canada. Find a battery recycling location near you here.

WE'RE PARTNERING WITH THE BEST.
Our commitment to recycling includes two strategic partnerships with organizations that encourage, inform and empower consumers to recycle their batteries. We're proud to work alongside The Battery Council International and the Canadian Battery Association, both of whom are instrumental in helping us create much needed awareness.

HOW DOES BATTERY RECYCLING WORK?
If you're curious about how to recycle batteries, the best place to start is by visiting our YouTube channel and viewing BCI’s video on battery recycling. There you'll find a video of helpful information, including answers to the most frequently asked questions about the safe disposal of batteries.

BUT DOES RECYCLING REALLY WORK?
Great question. Since its inception in 1987, Canadian Energy has recycled over 100 million pounds of used batteries. We think that proves it does!

PLASTIC

Cases and covers are crushed into plastic pellets. Plastic pellets are used to manufacture new battery covers and cases.

LEAD
